Our programs are flexible and structured so students can learn online, on-campus, and in the field.About the roleThe Trainer and Assessor will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering vocational education training and assessment in accordance with the relevant training packages, Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015, and the Australian Qualifications Framework. The VET Trainer and Assessor plays a crucial role in equipping our students with practical skills and knowledge that align with current industry requirements, thereby enhancing their employability and career progression.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery – Conduct training sessions, develop training materials, assessment methods, adapt training methods, and deliver.Assessment and Evaluation – Assess learner competency, provide feedback, maintain records, and participate in validation work processes.Learner Support – Support learners, monitor student progress, and encourage development for a positive learning experience.Quality Assurance – Adhere to training standards, ensure continuous improvement, and compliance standards are achieved.Qualifications, skills & experienceRelevant Degree or vocational qualification in Education Support and/or Education/Teaching (primary or secondary) (Category A-D).A TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.In-depth knowledge and skills of the industry or sector in which training is delivered, including current trends, practices, and standards.Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning, and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.Effective interpersonal skills to interact with learners, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to convey information with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to identify and address issues related to training delivery or learner progress, and adapt strategies as needed.Skilled in resolving conflicts and managing challenges in a constructive manner.Proficient in planning, organising, and managing training sessions, including scheduling, resource allocation, and documentation.Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborate with colleagues, industry experts, and other stakeholders to enhance training programs.A demonstrated commitment to monitor, collect, and record accurate data and complete all required administration tasks within set time frames.Experience in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and other relevant applications for creating training materials, managing records, and reporting.Provide discretion and take responsibility for outcomes, including effective application of policies.BenefitsOn-site gym and fitness programs available.Located in historic Fremantle.Within walking distance from public transport.How to applyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.Applications closing date: 21 November 2024For further information on how to apply, please visit: How to apply | Notre DameApplicants are expected to have current and valid work rights in Australia.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.The University of Notre Dame Australia seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce to better meet the different needs of the University and its stakeholders and to improve equal opportunity outcomes for our staff.Contact usPlease direct your queries regarding this role to Marcia Rodrigues, contact from recruitment agencies will not be entertained.#J-18808-Ljbffr
