Melbourne Showgrounds is hiring a Venue Operations Coordinator for a permanent, part-time position, working 3 days per week, including Saturdays and Sundays, with either Friday or Monday based on the event schedule and business needs. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety and brings a positive, professional approach to weekend event operations.About the RoleAs a weekend Venue Operations Coordinator, you'll be central to Melbourne Showgrounds' weekend event operations, ensuring seamless event delivery and high standards. This role involves interacting with clients and suppliers, overseeing setup, and managing event needs on the busiest days. You'll report to the Senior Manager, Event & Venue Operations for development, performance reviews, and leave management, while the on-duty Operations Manager will provide shift-based guidance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare event spaces according to client specifications and oversee setup.Serve as the main onsite contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.Coordinate weekend venue activities, including safety checks, site presentation, and maintenance.Collaborate with suppliers, such as cleaning, security, and catering teams.Complete documentation, including shift reports and incident logs.
