We are currently looking for the below roles to assist with the State Elections next year:

Role: The Venues Officer - Suppliers & Services is responsible for assisting with the securing of services, hire of equipment, scheduling of services for polling places and Returning Officer (RO) bases for the State General Election 2025.
The Venues Officer reports to the Operations Manager and the Venues Senior Officer (depending on election stage) and is a member of the Election Operations Division and will be positioned at the Head Office of the WA Electoral Commission.

Pay Rate: $45.00
Responsibilities: Develop and maintain database of hire companies, suppliers, cleaning and security service providers across the state.Develop and maintain spreadsheet of polling places requiring hire of equipment, waste removal services, cleaning services, and security services.Obtain quotes and negotiate services.Develop and maintain schedule of waste removal services, cleaning services, and security services.Reconciliation, coding, and recording of invoices.Develop and maintain Project Plan.Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures.Develop and maintain database of members of parliament office details.Identify all requirements, services, and supplies needed to make commercial venues 'fit for purpose'.Assist with finalising hire arrangements and leasing arrangements.Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and Venues Senior Officer, including the preparation and coordination of correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and documents.Support in the review process and written outcomes.Assist with other administrative duties as required.Skills: Demonstrated time management and organisational skills including the ability to manage priorities and potentially competing work demands.Developed research and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write procedures, correspondence, and outcomes of meetings.Knowledge in Microsoft Office suite.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.The skills and attributes to personally contribute effectively as a team member.If you're excited about playing a vital role in the electoral process, apply now!
