This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in all aspects of hospitality operations, including food and beverage services, events coordination, staff training, and guest relations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with department heads and team members to foster a positive and collaborative culture, ensuring a consistently high-quality guest experience and operational excellence across both locations.Key Responsibilities:Dual Venue Management:Oversee and coordinate daily operations for both venues, ensuring adherence to service standards and branding guidelines.Maintain a consistent presence across locations, providing support to staff and addressing operational issues in real-time.Collaborate with department heads and management to achieve financial and service-related targets.Operational Leadership & Hands-On Involvement:Actively participate in daily operations, including floor management, guest interactions, and quality control.Engage with guests and staff to ensure exceptional experiences, resolve complaints swiftly, and build lasting relationships.Foster a collaborative atmosphere by encouraging open communication and teamwork among all staff members.Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures to increase profitability.Work with the CEO and Finance Manager to develop business plans, budgets, and forecasts for each venue.Guest Experience Management:Be present during peak hours to ensure prompt service and positive guest relations.Collect feedback and implement changes to enhance service delivery and atmosphere.Develop initiatives to enhance the unique ambiance and offerings of each venue.Team Development & Coordination:Champion a positive and collaborative culture by leading and managing hospitality teams with a focus on recruitment, training, and performance management.Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and ensure consistent service delivery.Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to support staff retention and growth, encouraging input and feedback from team members.Compliance and Safety Management:Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.Conduct compliance audits and safety training sessions to maintain a secure working environment.Marketing and Product Development:Support marketing strategies and promotional activities to drive sales and brand presence.Analyse guest feedback to refine product offerings and services.Key Performance Indicators:Staff retention, engagement, and performance metrics.Revenue and cost targets, including labour and operational expenses.Maintenance of high service standards and guest satisfaction scores.Skills | Experience | Qualifications:Proven experience managing multiple hospitality venues with hands-on food and beverage operations.Advanced knowledge of P&L analysis, budget management, and financial forecasting.Demonstrated leadership experience managing diverse teams and coordinating complex events.Certificate IV in Hospitality and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification preferred.Excellent communication, presentation, and conflict resolution skills with a proactive management style.Why Old Young's:Competitive salary and benefits package;Work with an established and supportive team, including a highly experienced Head Chef ready and willing to support you;Genuine work-life balance with 6 lunchtime services and only one regular dinner shift per week plus functions and events;Opportunities for professional development and career advancement, via a range of collaborations we are regularly offered and at our next venue, a 'Cathedral of Gin' to be built in the heart of the Swan Valley;Generous staff benefits including free parking, 40% discount at our cellar door and restaurant and a free bottle of Old Young's on your birthday!If you are a talented and dedicated manager looking to lead a venue where creativity, teamwork and culture are paramount, we want to hear from you.How to Apply:Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your experience and why you would be a great fit for our team.
