My client is looking for an Underground Ventilation Engineer to bolster their technical team. Join their dynamic team and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our underground mining operations!Key Responsibilities:Monitor and report on primary and secondary ventilation circuits within the underground mine.Conduct ventilation surveys and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and instructions.Perform underground inspections and collaborate with operators regarding ventilation installations and usage.Liaise with various stakeholders, including environmental and safety teams, to address current and future ventilation needs.Analyze mining methods and develop strategies for ventilation improvement projects.Plan ventilation requirements for extraction levels, infrastructure design, and work instructions.Manage dust and air contaminant monitoring, including gas testing and diesel particulate monitoring.Engage in noise and vibration monitoring as needed.Participate in additional mine infrastructure projects as opportunities arise.Coach and mentor less experienced underground engineers and technical staff.Conduct drill and blast-related work when time permits.About You:Relevant tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.Qualified Ventilation Officer under the current WA Health and Safety Act and Regulations.Demonstrated experience in underground mine ventilation management and control.Mines Rescue and First Aid certification is desirable.Proficient in mine planning software (Deswik, Ventsim).Experience in ventilation planning, monitoring, and reporting.Capability in drill and blast design and reporting to the Underground Mine Superintendent.If this role sounds like you and you want to relocate to Perth, then please apply or send me your resume directly to ******.
