This position will suit mechanical minded candidates with experience in mechanical fitting, fabricating, assembly and fit out of trailers.Full-time permanent role.Monday – Friday local role.Penalties paid for overtime worked.Fortnightly tool allowance.Immediate start.Free Parking.The ideal candidate will be experienced with:Construct, assemble, and repair the body structures of trailers according to engineering blueprints and specifications.Perform welding tasks as required to join various components, ensuring structural integrity and strength.Customise trailers as per customer requirements, including installing doors, ramps, shelving, and other accessories.Conduct quality inspections at each stage of production to identify and rectify defects, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.Safely handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment required for the assembly process.Work closely with colleagues and employees within different departments/division, such as welding, painting, and assembly, to ensure seamless production flow.Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing suggestions and feedback to enhance efficiency and product quality.Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.Other tasks and responsibilities as directed by management to support the overall goals and success of the organization.To be considered you must have / be willing to obtain:Trade qualification in fabrication, vehicle body building, or related field.Proven experience as a vehicle body builder or similar role in a manufacturing setting, preferably in trailer manufacturing.Proficient in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and specifications.Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools effectively.3-5 years' experience working with road transport (fabrication, repair, maintenance) (desirable).The Process All shortlisted personnel must be able to attend a face to face interview at our WA office, and pass a full pre-employment medical as well as drug & alcohol testing prior to employment.
