The Role
As a member of the Sustainment Logistics Governance and Assurance section, you will be providing guidance to Contractor stock item owners (SIOs), planning oversight activities and conducting materiel and logistics related Sustainment tasks. The Role

You will have an understanding of and be able to interpret Defence Logistic Policy and Procedures and provide advice to stakeholders on the required outcomes. You will have knowledge of the Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) and the Defence Electronic Supply
About our Team
The Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia's Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation. Our ideal candidate will:
Have relevant experience or demonstrable knowledge in Defence inventory management processes; Have an understanding of relevant legislative frameworks and Defence's mission and policy requirements and be able to interpret and provide advice on these as they apply to the job role; Be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions to work through tasks and projects to meet deadlines; Undertake research and analysis, conduct reviews and perform procedural work to achieve results; Work collaboratively with stakeholders (both internal and external) and subject matter experts to resolve logistics matters; Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills; Have exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy; Be ready to adapt to the implementation of the new Defence ERP system scheduled for September 2024; and Demonstrate commitment to the Defence Behaviours.
