Selection Criteria CRITERIA Capacity to undertake all VASS required tasks in relation to the VASS program. Also a capacity to assist with the administrative functions in relation to the College's VET program. Skills and experience necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position including a sound knowledge of spreadsheets and databases and the ability to create a variety of reports. Capacity to work within a team cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, education support staff, students, parents and external organisations. Ability to coordinate work priorities and meet strict deadlines. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. VASS experience preferred but not essential.
Role The primary roles are to:
Maintain an accurate VASS system for the College. Ensure all VCE, VCE VM/VPC and VET student details and results are accurately recorded on the VASS system in accordance with VCAA timelines. Assist the College VET Coordinator with VET administrative tasks. Work within the Careers/Pathways/Transitions team to effectively and accurately record student details and results. The VASS/VET Administrator reports to the Careers/Pathways/Transitions Leading Teacher and the Pillar Principals. Responsibilities The VASS/VET Administrator will: Enrol and enter results for all VCE, VCE VM and VPC students on the VASS database in accordance with VCAA guidelines and strictly adhere to VCAA and local timelines. Liaise with Campus Leaders, Campus Principals, the VET Coordinator and other key stakeholders to ensure timely submission of results for entry. Maintain an accurate VASS database as per VCAA requirements. Maintain an accurate database for all students undertaking a VET study at Copperfield College (both internal and external students) as per BVC requirements. Assist the VET Coordinator to prepare and maintain accurate class lists for all VET classes at Copperfield. Download the VET cluster reports from the BVC portal and send to the Reporting Administrators for uploading onto Compass. Use the information from the BVC portal to support the VET Coordinator to prepare class lists and letters for all Copperfield students for VET Orientation. Assist the VET Leader with the preparation of VET budgets, based on the information in the BVC portal. Assist the VET Leader with the preparation of MOUs for the schools in the Brimbank VET Cluster as per the BVC portal instructions. Data entry, copying and printing as required. Location Profile College Profile Copperfield College is a multi-campus school situated in Melbourne's North-West. The College is comprised of two junior campuses (Years 7-10) in Kings Park and Sydenham and a senior campus (Years 11-12) at Delahey. We have a student population of approximately 2,000, with 180 (EFT) teaching staff, 70 (EFT) Education Support Staff and 7 Principal Class personnel. The SFOE for the College is 0.58, indicating a significant level of social disadvantage.
