Vacation Student opportunity: Build the extraordinary, every day The Hatch Vacation Student Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career.
As part of our Digital team , you will work within project teams assisting in the development and provision of modern systems, applications and solutions to support clients on their path towards digital modernization.
The work you will be involved with will generally be focused on the mining industry enabling integrated operations, using advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to create digital twins that provide real time decision support to operations aimed at optimizing asset efficiency. The work may also include the development, testing and deployment of autonomous industrial machinery, vehicles or equipment. Our strength is in our technical digital know-how combined with our engineering capability surrounded by a supportive team environment.

Our Professional Development Program As a Vacation Student with Hatch, you will build professional relationships with renowned experts, and champion great initiatives for reputable, well-known clients. You will have opportunities to: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to complete project deliverables for clients Develop mentoring relationships with experienced professionals and experts Work towards individual career goals Work in a flexible framework and environment Attend networking events, opportunities, and activities Continuously learn and develop through a variety of challenging work experiences and career pathways You bring to the role: You will have (or be working towards) a bachelors/masters degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Chemical) , ideally in your penultimate year of study Interested in applying control-based software programming to real-world physical environments. Successful candidates will also have excellent interpersonal skills and strong passion for working closely in a team environment to solve complex problems. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change.
The 12-week, full-time program commences on Monday, 18 Nov 2024 . Please note, during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen Monday, 6 January 2025 .
