SA Police are seeking an adept User Experience Designer for a 2-year fixed term contract, working within the Mobility Portfolio.
Your new company

Your new role
The User Experience (UX) Designer will modernise, transform, and deliver a range of sustainable, user-focussed digital services for SAPOL via a range of customer-focused digital solutions that support SAPOL's objectives and goals. The UX Designer is responsible for designing, planning, leading, conducting, analysing and reporting on user-centred design, research, and usability testing across a range of digital products to provide a consistent and quality user experience. The UX Designer will be responsible for delivering insights to drive the project forward and creating customer journey and persona maps.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a portfolio `s two major programs, the Mobile Workforce Program (MWP) and the Digital Workforce Program (DWP), which together drive SAPOL towards our goal of Technology Enabled Policing. Reporting to the Portfolio Change Manager. this opportunity plays a vital role in supporting the Organisational Change Management team, IT project teams and the greater Mobility Portfolio to deliver solutions.
What you'll need to succeed Qualification in design, marketing, communication, or other relevant field or equivalent industry experience. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills (in English) and an open, collaborative attitude. Significant experience working with UX content for web and mobile experiences and comprehensive knowledge of common design tools. Significant experience working with UX content for web and mobile experiences that contributed to and/or enabled program delivery outcomes. Contemporary knowledge of design principles and how content fits into the overall user experience Detailed knowledge of relevant government policies and procedures and their application in relation to operations and enterprise ICT infrastructure. Highly developed qualitative and quantitative research and analytical skills including successful experience preparing user journey flows and insights reports and undertaking evidence-based decision-making. Proven ability to manage effectively in an environment of change. Benefits
