We are seeking a dedicated Upper Primary teacher to implement evidence-based strategies, fostering investigation, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the year-level team to support students' holistic growth, teaching the Australian Curriculum while integrating a Christian worldview to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.

Type:Full Time, 8.00 am to 3.40 pm (This does not include other expected outside hour commitments, such as staff meetings, parent evenings, etc.)
Reports to: Director of Upper Primary
FTE Salary:Commensurate with qualifications & experience
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Upper Primary Classroom Teacher will inspire, challenge, and support students, fostering a lifelong love of learning. They will develop, implement, and assess engaging programs that aim to achieve specific student outcomes while promoting creativity and collaboration. The teacher will actively engage in critical reflection and inquiry to enhance their knowledge and skills, effectively engaging students and driving their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching a single year level between Years 3-6, covering all aspects of the Australian Curriculum as pertinent to that year level. (Science, German, PE, Health, Digital Technology and Performing Arts are taught by specialist teachers at Cedar College).
Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving in students.
Support students' physical, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.
Collaborate with the team to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Necessary Qualifications and Checks:
Bachelor of Education or equivalent
Current South Australian Teacher Registration
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
RRHAN-EC Training (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care)
Protective Practices online course
