Category Manager - In-store Events Schedule United Petroleum is Australia's fastest-growing independent petrol and convenience company. Reporting to the Head of Preferred Suppliers, you will take ownership over United Petroleum's in-store event schedule and the special seasonal products we offer. Seasonal events include but are not limited to Christmas, New Years, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, and AFL/NRL grand finals.
You will manage all special events and identify special seasonal products together with our regular range that are to be promoted during the special event. Further, you will coordinate the marketing communications of the special event working collaboratively with our marketing department. In performing this pivotal role, you will act as the custodian of the event schedule, event merchandise, event management procedure, and the communication process.
Core Responsibilities: Identify and source special seasonal products and identify existing products to be promoted during the special event. Act as the liaison between merchandise and marketing departments regarding all event and marketing communications. Negotiate the sourcing of special products and special terms in relation to any existing products in conjunction with the Head of Preferred Suppliers. Manage event schedule, timelines, communications, and participation with the merchandise department. To be successful in this role you will possess: Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work with cross-functional teams. Ability to negotiate the sourcing of special products and special terms. Ability to develop merchandise site plans and fixture planograms. Demonstrated capacity to operate in a rapidly changing work environment. An outcome-focused and tenacious attitude to achieving results for the Company.
