About the role
This role sits within our Infrastructure Practice, responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting hardware including databases, the Data Centre, networks, mainframe, storage, virtual servers, laptops, printers, and software application solutions in a secure, cost-effective manner.
The Communication Engineer role is a key contributor to ensure that the components of the Unified Communication capabilities and their associated Operational services are maintained, reliable, and delivered in accordance with business expectations and agreed Service and Operational Level agreements.
You will drive the continuous improvement of Unified Communication Capabilities and Services in alignment with the Technology & Transformation (T&T) and Infrastructure Practice strategy and strategic objectives.
As a Unified Communications Services Engineer, you'll get to: Design, Build, Deploy and Support Amazon Connect for our Contact Centre and business.Focus on business projects and strategic roadmap items aligned to the service.Influence and support your Leader with decisions regarding sequencing, technical design, and investment.Provide level 2 & 3 support for voice & video communications across multiple sites.Build effective working relationships with the business and various cross-functional teams.About you
You will have commercial experience in Telecommunications and network operations, with experience in Amazon Connect for Contact Centre. Experience with Microsoft Teams Calling would be an advantage.
To be successful in the role you will have:
Experience with SIP Protocol, Networking, and telephony systems, including supporting and maintaining CCaaS and UCaaS CX Platforms (Amazon Connect).Proven experience and knowledge of IT Technology and Infrastructure.Demonstrated experience in managing a complex telecommunication environment.Knowledge of VoIP protocols and SIP trunking technologies.Experience in DevOps engineering - Python, Lambda, Terraform, React.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.We offer flexible work options that prioritize our people, with a hybrid model requiring a minimum of two days in a local Head Office per week.
