Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesIn this exciting period of growth, we have an exciting opportunity at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as an Undermanager. Working with a dynamic team, you will be a strong leader who has the ability to drive the correct safety culture whilst maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement, problem solving and high standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Allocate Deputies to the Districts of the Mine to Comply with Mine Inspection System and the WH & S Act and Regs.Ensure Compliance with all Management Plans & Systems used to manage Moolarben Coalmine.Audit areas of the mine to maintain compliance with Management Plans & Systems.Respond to Trigger Action response Plans (TARPs).Ensure all work is completed to a high standard & in Compliance with the standards established for the various areas of Moolarben coalmine.Conduct Start of Shift Meetings with Deputies, Crew Leaders & Control room operators.Conduct Debriefing Meetings with Deputies, Crew Leaders & Control room operators.Conduct Start of Shift Toolbox talks with Employees.Read & sign all statutory & deputies production reports for your shift.Skills and ExperienceMinimum 7 years' experience in Underground longwall Mining.NSW 2nd Class (Undermanager's) certificate of competency.Diploma Underground Coal Mine Management (Undermanager).Significant people leadership experience.Ability to promote a positive safety culture within the mine.Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to meet production targets.How to applyYancoal is an equal opportunity employer and encourages those from all backgrounds to consider applying.
