Surveying (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time Lead safety & maintain survey control over the development and stoping activities of the Norseman Gold Project.
8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. Alternate point of hire may be considered. The Details Monitoring the progress of works to ensure compliance with the survey program, budget and quality. Ensuring that work instructions are issued to the mining contractor as per site procedure. Conducting survey pickups and CMS for the development of as-built data for development, production advance, and reported volumes. Completing high order survey control set outs for production drills, raise bores, and jumbo development to minimise over break. Ensuring that electronic and hardcopy survey plans for the mine are accurately produced. Maintain survey equipment to a high standard and ensure equipment is kept within required calibration and adjustment parameters. Observe and adhere to the requirements of the Mine Safety Act and Regulations applicable to your area of responsibility. Take personal responsibility for the safety of self and others. Roles and Responsibilities Conducting engineering surveys for the mine infrastructure. Monitoring the progress of works to ensure compliance with the survey program, budget and quality. Ensuring that work instructions are issued to the mining contractor as per site procedure. Ensuring that mine development is accurately marked out and regularly picked up. Reporting to provide survey control and spatial information services for operations, mine planning and environment. Ensuring that the mine plans are kept in an orderly and logical fashion. Prism Monitoring and processing using Quickslope. Ensuring electronic and hardcopy survey plans for the mine are accurately produced. Maintaining survey equipment to a high standard and ensuring equipment is kept within required calibration and adjustment parameters. Complete and process end of month surveys in a timely manner. About You Tertiary qualifications in Mine Surveying. Survey underground mining experience, Gold considered favourably. Proficient with Leica survey equipment or similar. Proficient with Deswik. Manual Driver License. National Police Clearance. Modern Camp The project is serviced by a modern accommodation village situated within the Norseman township with full messing facilities and a gym. Employees will also have access to the town facilities and services, providing the best of both worlds while on site.
About the Project The Norseman Gold Project is an exciting project which includes a 1 million tonne per annum processing plant completed in September 2022 and development of multiple large open pits and underground mines. Mining activities have been established for well over a 12-month period providing on-target tonnes to the processing facility.
Existing mine life is approaching 10 years. Ongoing organic growth is expected with six drill rigs focused on Ore Reserve growth currently operating.
