Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy) Barto Gold is a privately owned Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. With its flagship project located at Marvel Loch in Western Australia, the company holds a tenement package in excess of 1,400km2 with significant exploration investment, with 2 open pits and 1 underground in current operation. The future is bright with more mines scheduled for 23/24. About the role: Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role is responsible for the servicing, maintenance and fault finding of our underground electrical equipment of the Barto Operations in a safe and efficient manner, fully complying with all relevant Statutory requirements and safety regulations. Responsibilities: Executing monthly scheduled statutory requirements promptly and accurately. Installing and maintaining underground reticulation systems, ensuring reliable power distribution. Conducting breakdown and maintenance tasks on underground drilling equipment to minimize downtime. Installing tele remote systems to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Setting up and maintaining underground communication systems while updating relevant drawings. Other relevant duties as required. Current "A" Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the mining industry Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence (Essential) Current High Voltage Switching certificate (Desirable) High Voltage switching ticket (desirable) High Risk Work Licence (desirable) Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations Culture & Benefits: If you are ready to step up to the challenges of this role, it can lead to greater opportunities for career growth and progression.
