About the Role As an engineering student, you would begin to learn your craft alongside and under the guidance of BG&E's engineering team, assisting project teams with a variety of tasks including the development of documentation, reports, and engineering calculations.
You'll likely have opportunities to:
Work with other engineering disciplines and participate in interdisciplinary workshops.Get involved with construction support including response to RFIs.Accompany engineers for site inspections.Learn how to support project teams with analysis, design, asset management, and reporting.Learn how to ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, corporate requirements, and systems.About You To succeed in this position, you'll have:
Progressed at least halfway (3rd year preferred) into your Civil Engineering Degree and with an excellent academic record.Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of tools; experience using AutoCAD or structural modelling tools is beneficial.A strong desire to learn and solve problems.High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.General site/civil experience would be great but not a must-have.About BG&E BG&E is an employee-owned engineering consultancy with more than half a century of experience.
