Complementing TBA's efforts, Aushorse specialises in both domestic and international marketing of the Australian thoroughbred sector. About the Role
As the CEO of TBA and Aushorse, you have the unique opportunity to shape the future of one of the world's premier thoroughbred breeding industries. You will lead the development and execution of strategies that ensure the industry's sustainability and profitability, while advocating for beneficial outcomes through engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including all levels of government.
Working with a diverse range of stakeholders including racing administrators, wagering companies, race clubs, and trainers you will drive positive outcomes for breeders and the broader thoroughbred community. TBA also runs a number of education and training programs on behalf of the industry with the organisation committed to improving pathways into the breeding sector. In your capacity as CEO of Aushorse, you will champion investment into Australia's vibrant thoroughbred industry, promoting the nation's exceptional bloodstock to a global audience. This is an exciting opportunity to position Australian thoroughbreds on the world stage and play a pivotal role in securing a prosperous future for this dynamic industry.
About You
We are seeking a passionate advocate for the thoroughbred industry with extensive experience managing stakeholders, including government relations. This role is ideal for either an emerging leader ready to step up into a CEO position or an experienced executive seeking to make a meaningful impact in the thoroughbred sector. Prior experience in the thoroughbred industry, sports administration or a member-based environment is highly desirable, along with a proven track record of leading teams and resolving complex issues with tact and diplomacy. The successful candidate must be a hands-on leader and someone who is willing and able to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, to represent and advance the industry's interests.
