The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key accountabilities for the position
Supervise all site plant and truck operations onsite
Play an integral role in Plant and Truck commissioning/onboarding in line with project specifications and program deadlines
Be an expert in 3D safety, Damstra and Linkedsite systems and be a reference point for Contractors
Conduct plant and truck inspections as required
Supervise plant and truck maintenance, ensuring preventative and breakdown maintenance is carried out in a timely manner which ensures the integrity of the machine is maintained and availability is maximised
Ensure effective and responsive supervision of plant and trucks through supervising the plant and truck fleet and project assets to ensure plant availability
Ensure plant and truck compliance is achieved across the project
Liaise with the Construction Leads, Discipline Manager, Superintendents & Supervisors to maximise efficiency of resources
Manage the deliverables in the Plant and Heavy Vehicle Management Plans
Implement and maintain procedures to achieve high performance in safety, quality and environment
To act in accordance with relevant Health & Safety Legislation and the Alliance responsibilities
Required Skills and Competencies HV license / Plant license/s / White Card and be experienced working in the construction industry in a similar role Well organised with an ability to problem solve/adapt in an agile environment Experienced inspecting plant and able to be mobile to different works sites as required A high level of attention to detail & possess exceptional communication skills #LI-LG1
