About the Role: We are looking for a seasoned Control Systems Engineering Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the mining sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing control system engineering projects, ensuring the effective execution of engineering programs, and managing all project-related activities.
Key Responsibilities: Lead control system engineering projects within the mining industry.
Execute engineering programs, activities, milestones, and staff requirements.
Manage project reporting, cost control, scheduling, HSEQ, and stakeholder engagement.
Oversee procurement and contract management, including sub-contractor packages and vendor supply.
Prepare project documentation such as Management Plans, Schedules, Scopes of Work, Reports, Functional Specifications, and Procedures.
Develop tender packages, pre-sales proposals, estimates, and manage scope changes.
Ensure Safety in Design throughout the project life-cycle, managing and mitigating risks through engineering solutions.
Actively participate in project and design risk assessments.
Supervise a team or package of works, ensuring engineering tasks meet required standards and quality.
Contribute to performance reviews, training, and development of engineers.
Experience and Qualifications: A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
Extensive experience in control system implementation, including PLC & SCADA software development and testing.
Proven experience in mining facilities with a strong understanding of process and automation.
Experience in commissioning automated control systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with client representatives and peers.
At least 10 years of engineering experience.
At least 10 years of project delivery experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Background in electrical, control systems, or automation.
