Trinity College is looking for a STARstore Manager to play a key role in servicing our College community. STARstore provides an essential service in the sale of uniforms at reasonable prices and a range of practical items to suit the needs of our students, staff, and STARplex fitness community.
The STARstore Manager oversees the efficient running of STARstore and serves and assists our College community - students, parents/caregivers, and school staff by:
Engaging with the College community to ensure correct uniform selections are made according to the relevant school and co-curricular requirements. Managing inventory efficiently to support over 4000 students and staff across the College. Ensuring an organised and welcoming store environment. Providing further ranges for sale, including swimwear, sportswear, and gifts to support the STARplex community. Delivery of exceptional service to our customers to ensure correct uniform size and style are issued. Strong product knowledge is offered, including product sizing and pricing, ensuring questions are accurately answered. Efficiently manage sales transactions through EFTPOS and online services. Order, organise, merchandise, and replenish stock, ensuring that product items are at appropriate levels for our peak periods. As part of the leadership team at STARplex, ensure a supportive team environment is provided for our STARstore and STARplex team and community. The STARstore Manager will also lead the ongoing system improvements and retail operations, further enhancing the customer experience and service.
This position is a full-time contracted role with flexibility in the required hours of work. STARstore operates over a five-and-a-half-day week (Mon-Sat).
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
Experience in leading a small team with warmth and energy. High levels of excellence in communication and relationship-building capability. Strong retail management and commercial awareness. Demonstrated abilities in buying, stock management, and visual merchandising. Solid finance acumen specific to managing a budget in the retail environment.
