As Maintenance Team Leader you will safely and effectively maintain TGE Equipment assets by delivering day-to-day leadership and support to the maintenance team ensuring OEM and legislative standards are met. You will work collaboratively with management to achieve optimum fleet availability and utilisation through team training, efficiencies and planning.
What you'll do Support and drive the business safety initiatives ensuring compliance with HSE responsibility and safe behaviour within the workplace. Ensure TGE Equipment standards are met daily in the triage and close out of Work Requisition Processes. Ensure training matrix is up to date for all staff and the process is operating effectively. Liaise & work collaboratively with opposite shifts & operations teams to effectively deliver maintenance outputs & strategies using effective handovers. Ensure that maintenance support processes including forward ordering of parts for backlogs are operating efficiently. Liaise with outside suppliers to manage external repairs, relaying deadlines/changes to return to work and scope variations. Understand the impact of conflicting pressures and priorities on various stakeholders and apply sound judgment in the choice of alternative solutions or approaches in the management of the operations ensuring the customer is put first. Develop a collaborative 'customer first' mind-set by establishing expectations and proactively supervising behaviours. What you'll bring Experience in heavy transport industry with appropriate trade qualification - Cert 3 Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent). Ability to lead, assist & train in diagnosing faults safely, competently and efficiently in a timely manner. Strong technical knowledge of company owned fleet assets. Competent use of current systems AMT, MT Data & Sapphire (essential). People management and communication skills - Lead, promote and maintain clear ethical communications between all parties. Continual improvement of workplace safety processes through gap analysis and resolution of identified shortfalls. Build a comprehensive understanding of statutory requirements including but not limited to DG road transport requirements, DPI, MRD, WorkSafe & DMP (Dangerous Goods). Ensure compliance to process and best practices in the safe and competent use of testing equipment, hand tools and workshop equipment. Ongoing review of system reporting to identify changes in planning strategies to deliver efficiencies in asset availability and utilisation.
