Accounts and Client Services (ACS) is part of the Shared Services arm of CFO Command. The purpose of this role is to provide Treasury functions, ensuring customer outcomes are met and are in compliance with relevant AFP and Australian Government policies, practices and statutory requirements.
Key duties of the position include: Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the Treasury unit. Delivering the agencies appropriation management function, including appropriation drawdowns, returns and monthly cash forecasting. Manage monthly reconciliations, clearing accounts and undertake monthly review of relevant general ledger accounts. Provide advice to wider agency network on Treasury, revenue, receipting and reconciliation issues. Promote the continuous improvement of team processes and ensure they are compliant with relevant legislation and Government policies. Maintaining professional working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Finance and the Reserve Bank of Australia. You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments.
Essential Requirements: You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application. A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one. A sound knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, methods and practices. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Government Treasury environment. A sound working knowledge of SAP, CBMS and RBA data entry and reporting. Microsoft Excel proficiency. Desirable Requirements:
Recognised tertiary and/or professional accounting qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential.
