Board Appointments (CEO & General Management) Director/Treasurer (voluntary position) Our Community Project Port Kembla Accounting / financial corporate governance background Our Community Project is incorporated as a company under ASIC and a registered charity reporting to the ACNC. We aim to work within the community to create and implement projects to alleviate the suffering, distress, misfortune and poverty of the more disadvantaged members of our community. We use people centred innovation and social enterprise to employ and build access, equity, social action and community spirit.

About us Our vision is to contribute to building a vibrant, creative, resourceful and resilient community where people and the planet are valued. We have five core units based around servicing those in need:
Social Enterprise : Tender Funerals Illawarra is a highly successful social enterprise providing not for profit funeral services. Philanthropic : Culture Bank funds arts projects from crowd funded philanthropic donations. Community Services : No Interest Loans and Community Development provide services to those most in need. JamnBread : A project that brings musicians from different cultural backgrounds together once a month to jam (play music) and bake bread from that culture. Port Locals : Port Kembla Men's Shed and Sewing for waste. Opportunity with our Board A voluntary Board of Directors governs Our Community Project. It is a skills-based Board of seven and we are looking to fill the Treasurer position pending the upcoming anticipated retirement of our current Treasurer. As a diverse and inclusive Board, we are seeking a professional who has:
Strong financial (accounting) corporate governance and reporting experience and skills to work with our Finance Coordinator and General Manager. An interest in serving the community through the work of Our Community Project. Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration and advocacy skills.
