The Transport Team Leader will be responsible for NSW fleet, managing daily runs for local metro deliveries.
The focus of the role will be in managing costs and improving efficiencies while maintaining a high level of customer service, analysing data and identifying concerns and areas for improvement, continuously looking at ways to innovate.

Your roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Plan and supervise daily deliveries for a fleet of approximately 40 drivers Maintain a solid relationship with all our drivers Ensure all drivers sort and load in a timely and safe manner to ensure a prompt departure Monitor overall driver performance and ensure compliance of all policies and procedures Manage new driver induction process, ongoing training and assessment Respond to daily transport enquiries from internal teams and customers in an efficient and effective manner Proactively identify transport operational issues, potential problems and opportunities, and determine corrective actions where required Build and foster successful business relationships with key stakeholders Pre-empt seasonal increases in volume and adapt to sudden spikes Be able to implement change with limited disruption Monitor transport budget to ensure costs are effectively controlled Report on transport division activities and results for Management reporting purposes Ensure drivers comply with Company OH&S policies and procedures with a safety first mindset This role is Monday to Friday, 4:00am – 12:00pm, however flexibility required.

More about you
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to manage and motivate a team of store people in a busy warehouse environment that deals with fast moving products at high volume.

You will display the following attributes:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Transport industry Demonstrated experience in fleet management and transport allocation in a high-volume and fast paced customer service environment Strong awareness of Safety and Fatigue Management Extensive knowledge of Sydney metro area A current Forklift licence is not essential but highly preferable More about COS
