Transport Supervisor

Please call today!!Location: NormantonWorking hours: 4 on 4 off - Nights - 6pm until 6amPay rate: £16.00 P/H - (£35k per annum once permanent)Menzies Distribution are currently looking for a Transport Supervisor to join their busy team on the night operation this is a temp to perm opportunity for the right peson. You will need to have worked within the transport sector previously and have previous supervisory experience within this sector.Transport Supervisor Duties:Ensure all movements are planned and completed each day and any issues that arise dealt with in a timely mannerControl and execution of the planPush driver engagementPre-Brief all drivers to ensure they fully understand the day's work and what is required of themDe-Brief all drivers to ensure they have completed all required work and any issues challenged have been dealt withDealing with issues and resolving issues as they arise through the shift and amending the plan to suit when issues arise to ensure we maintain acceptable customer service levelsMinimise/Maximum impact on vehicle earnings to ensure we still hit budgeted vehicle earningsA documented and telephone handover to be done between yourself and the parent site (Coalville)Communicating issues as they arise to relevant stake holdersAdhering to and controlling Transport related ComplianceBe able to maintain TMS system complianceConducting investigations and return to work interviews etc as requiredTMS load creation and TMS system allocationSource local agency drivers as and when required (in conjunction with our PSL)Source local sub-contractors as and when requiredCo-ordinate and build key KPI reports for customerEnsure accurate trailer checks are completed and sentEnsure that site teams are aware that the loads meet safety standardsAll other transport office related duties including POD control and scanningTransport Supervisor Requirements:Experience of working in a busy Transport officeKnowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislationStrong negotiating skillsIT literateKnowledge of Health & SafetyKnowledge of transport systemsBenefits:Pension SchemeCycle2Work schemeEmployee Assistance ProgramSPIRIT Awards - Peer to Peer recognition#J-18808-Ljbffr
