Transport Operations & Maintenance ManagerRacecourse Projects, situated in the Mackay region of Queensland, Australia, farms sugar cane, farming over 5,000 ha of cane land, delivering cane to Mackay Sugar and Wilmar Sugar.
The company undertakes its own harvesting, operating three harvesting groups, with two of these exceeding 100,000 tonnes of cane.

Career opportunity: Transport Operations and Maintenance Manager Racecourse Projects is growing the on-road transport fleet based in the Mackay Region and has a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Operations and Maintenance Manager to take the lead.
The Transport Operations and Maintenance Manager is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for the management of Racecourse Projects' on-road transport operations, with 9 B-Doubles delivering cane ex farm to rail sidings.
Responsibilities include scheduling, managing drivers, and overseeing routine and breakdown maintenance.
The Transport Operations and Maintenance Manager will be involved in all aspects of transport operations across large scale sugar cane operations over two main locations.
The Transport Operations and Maintenance Manager will create a strong culture, be responsible for operational outputs, maintenance budget management, and will drive a proactive approach to safety, maintenance, and compliance to underpin operations.

The nature of our industry is such that all trucks will be fully utilized from dawn until dusk, 6 months of the year, allowing for work-life balance and a dedicated maintenance program.
About you: Are you an experienced leader/manager in road haulage looking to take the next step in your career?
We are seeking a demonstrated leader with experience across transport operations and maintenance, workforce planning, and management.
Practical mechanical experience is essential, and while a trade qualification isn't essential, this would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will hold a current MC license and have a working knowledge of NHVAS and WH&S.
