Supply Chain is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Transport Officers to join their team on a casual basis (11:00am - 19:06pm shift). Transport Officers (Truck Driver) play a critical role in the heavy vehicle transportation of linen, clinical and non-clinical supplies to Queensland Health hospitals and health facilities across Queensland. Transport Officers will load and unload supplies into heavy vehicles within Queensland Health Distribution Centres, Laundries and various destinations across the Queensland Health network of facilities. The Transport Officer (Truck Driver) in Supply Chain Services reports to the Transport Supervisor/s.
About Supply Chain Branch: Supply Chain Surety is a branch in Corporate Services Division (CSD) supporting the supply of clinical goods, pharmaceuticals and linen products to the Hospital and Health Services (HHS), Queensland Health.
The branch is comprised of functions critical to Queensland Health's supply response, including Supply Chain Services, Central Pharmacy, Group Linen Services and Operations. This branch brings together an end-to-end supply chain function from demand planning through to warehousing and distribution into a single integrated branch led by the Executive Director. The Branch supports clients and stakeholders across the Department of Health, all Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Government and some external agencies.
What we are looking for: Demonstrated high level skills in communication, both written and verbal, with an ability to understand complex instructions and the completion of required paperworkProven communication skills that exhibit a high level of customer service to Health Support Queensland's clients and workforce.The timely and efficient delivery of various essential materials as required utilising Queensland Health's heavy vehicles. Demonstrated ability to deliver, load and unload handling units in a busy environment while adhering to safe work practices.Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to maintain healthy, productive relationships with other team members.Reliable, self-motivated, flexible and a positive attitude.Resilience and ability to accept and navigate change in a positive and constructive manner.
