We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Transport Manager to join our operations. We operate a transport fleet comprising employee drivers and contractors, and have plans to continue to grow our fleet over the next 24-36 months.
The fleet comprises a mixture of Singles, B-Doubles, Road Trains and PBS A-Doubles. All freight movements are for internal purposes and comprise the collection of product from customers, internal movements of product between sites in the ACT and NSW, and delivery of finished product to our customers in NSW.
The Role Key responsibilities will include:
Scheduling daily transport movements for inward and outbound stock;Continually review company truck movements to improve efficiencies and maximize stock movements; Communicate daily transport plans and expectations with employee drivers, equipment operators and contractors;Meet safety and compliance standards including Chain of Responsibility and NHVR requirements;Implementation of BFM and HML on key trucks;Develop, motivate and mentor the transport team to drive positive outcomes, and;Play an active role in recruitment of new employees.Your Profile The successful candidate will have some of all of these skills:
10+ years' experience as Transport Manager or similar role;Qualification in Transport/Logistics;Qualification or working knowledge in WHS, NHVAS and CoR;Knowledge of PBS, Mass & Fatigue Management, Statutory and Regulatory requirements;Knowledge of required road networks and locations (driving experience an advantage);Strong customer service and interpersonal skills;Strong organisational and time management skills;The ability to work effectively with a wide range of people;Excellent written and spoken communication skills; High attention to detail;Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products – outlook, excel etc.Offer In return we will offer you:
