Symons Clark Logistics is a 140-year-old, family owned, Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.
The Transport Administration Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the administration team, while managing the end-of-month process and ensuring customer orders are reconciled for invoicing. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented leader to enhance our administrative operations and foster a positive customer experience.
What you will be doing… Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry, while securely storing completed documents. Supplying staff with requested information to support daily operations. Updating and maintaining databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Identifying customer needs and taking proactive steps to maintain a positive experience. Responding to customer queries in a timely and effective manner via phone and email. Directing customers to the appropriate information, resources, and channels for assistance. Identifying and resolving administrative issues promptly while maintaining strong customer relationships. Interacting daily with Truck Operators to scan and process dockets. Performing payroll administration accurately and efficiently. Allocating and scanning compliant diary pages as needed. Acting as a 'Process Champion,' participating in the review, development, and implementation of administrative improvement initiatives. Supporting the team in resolving administrative issues and providing guidance. Managing the end-of-month reconciliation process for customer orders to be sent to the accounts team for accurate and timely invoicing. Maintaining a positive work ethic and contribute to a supportive team environment. Do you have… Previous experience in an administration role, ideally within the transport industry. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to collaborate professionally across departments. A process-driven mindset with a keen eye for detail. Confidence in using the Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills. Additional Information… Successful applicants will be required to complete a Fit to Work Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screening and Police Check. We will provide all relevant onsite training.
