In your new role, you will lead both technical and business-facing teams during security incidents, ensuring comprehensive technical responses and clear communication of risk levels to senior management.
You will be providing leadership for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Operations Centre (SOC) functions to detect and respond to information security incidents, proactive threat hunting, and use case development.
Additionally, you will be accountable for the architecture, design, implementation, and operation of Transgrid's security automation, detection, and response capabilities and service.
The ideal candidate will possess: Extensive experience in security operations, incident response, and investigation Strong business acumen and skills at a Senior Security Consultant level About you Collaborative and decisive behaviour style Integrity and commitment to ethical practice, equity, and diversity Developed negotiation and presentation skills Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, OSCP, SANS, GIAC) Able to work outside of regular business hours, including participating in an on-call roster Good understanding of the role and requirements of planning and regulatory agencies Proven problem, incident, and resolution skills, including leading resolution Experience and ability to contribute to the marketing, business development, and strategic decision-making of the department Competent in the application of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements relative to the duties of the position Recognition & Reward In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program, and workplace flexibility.
