This pivotal role will allow you to harness your logistics expertise and data management skills to optimise processes, provide actionable insights, and enhance the performance of Defence's supply chain.
As a Logistics Process and Data Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a dynamic team of Logistics Specialists, Data Analysts and Developers to analyse logistics workflows, design and implement process improvements, and ensure data and information is available to support informed decision-making.
You will play a vital role in delivering logistics business intelligence solutions that support Defence's operational and strategic objectives, contributing directly to cost savings, efficiency, and logistics capability assurance.
About our Team The Directorate of Logistics Performance and Improvement (DLPI) is a dynamic team that is involved in a wide range of Logistics improvements initiatives across Defence.
The Directorate provides the Executive Director Logistics Assurance (EDLA) and Commander Joint Logistics (CJLOG) with the capability to lead reform by identifying and implementing logistics improvement activities across Joint Logistics Command (JLC) and the wider Defence Logistics Network (DLN).
Much of the Directorates work to date has involved the identification of strategies to remediate existing logistic concerns identified by the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) and the Defence Integrity Division.
The Directorate is now actively involved in business improvement initiatives in the Joint Logistics Units and wider Defence, including volumetrics and supporting the preparation and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
