Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs.
It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region.
The Tanami Expansion 2 project aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa.
Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio.
A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.

The Role
Reporting to the Training Superintendent, the Training Administrator is responsible for the co-ordination, administering and reporting of all technical training conducted on and off site as specified in the NTO Training Plan, and is responsible for data capture and inputs into the Newmont systems.
The role is based in Tanami and offers an 8/6 FIFO roster from Darwin & Alice Springs ONLY with a competitive remuneration package on offer inclusive of private health cover, annual bonus and more.
Key Accountabilities
The following duties are inclusive of but not limited to:
Ensure the accurate and timely recording of training data to assist with forecasting, reporting and planning of training.
Coordinate and administer off the job training where practical.
Assist in booking and scheduling of external training on and off site.
Assist with the management of expenses, accommodation, travel bookings/amendments in a timely manner.
Assist with document control of all Training documents.
Participate in continuous improvement and quality control projects to ensure the Newmont LMS and site specific policies and procedures for training are effective and efficient.
Respond to training enquiries from all departments and business partners.
You, The Person
Previous experience in a similar mining, construction or training administration role working FIFO.
Experience using SAP, Inflight and data management systems (or similar).
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrate initiative, tact and maturity, and excellent organisational skills.
Excellent administrative skills and be 'customer focused'.
Effective communicator, both verbally and in written form.
Ability to work as part of a team – mature, ethical, honest and enthusiastic.
Able to apply policies, procedures and systems of work into a training context.
Understanding of range of Newmont reporting and associated document systems.
Desirable: Cert IV Training & Assessment To be considered for these roles, you must be able to meet the site access requirements by having a current driver's license, passing a police clearance and pre-employment medical inclusive of Drug & Alcohol Testing both pre-employment and random periodical testing when onsite.
