Queensland Rail is looking for pro-active and detail-orientated Training Planner & Scheduler on afull-time basisto join our Career Pathways & Training Integration team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team to provide a centralised training planning & scheduling service for the business as part of our new Learning Operating Model at Queensland Rail!
You will work closely with key stakeholders and your colleagues to organise and support enterprise-wide training that is delivered by External Providers.
You will ensure training classes are planned proactively and work with your wider team to support in the overall development and implementation of an annual enterprise training plan that meets the needs of our business.
Along with providing advice and support when required, you will: Communicate openly and effectively with identified stakeholders to plan, schedule, record and report on required training activities to ensure seamless training delivery.
Plan training classes in our Learning Management System (LMS) and schedule External Training Providers accordingly using relevant planning tools.
Provide accurate and timely administration and processing of training records where necessary.
Proactively seek and suggest opportunities for improvement to assist in establishing a seamless and efficient Training Planning & Scheduling function.

The ideal candidate This role is for someone who has a problem-solving mindset, who enjoys effective organisation and structured processes in a fast-paced environment.
In addition, you will have: High ability to plan and organise training plans, fitting many moving pieces into the puzzle and being able to pivot quickly when required.
High familiarity and capability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet fixed deadlines.
Sound level of analytical ability to understand data to make it meaningful and relevant for evidence-based decision-making and planning.
Intermediate capability and confidence using Microsoft Excel and the wider MS 365 Suite for planning and coordination purposes is advantageous.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience in a similar training planning/scheduling/rostering function is advantageous, but not necessary.
