18 month contract - Baseline clearance required Designing user-focused training - Government / large-scale programs Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth - WFH - Flexible arrangements Our client, a Federal Government commission based in Sydney, NSW, requires an experienced Training Manager for a long 18-month contract. As a Training Manager, you will focus on developing, executing, and managing the training strategy to ensure all staff have the knowledge and skills to implement new procedures and processes effectively. The Training Manager will work closely with the Change Manager and Change Coordinator, ensuring that training sessions align with program objectives and changes are implemented seamlessly. Duties Lead a small team to develop, implement, and continuously refine the training strategy. Oversee the creation of training materials to ensure they align with program objectives. Work with internal and external teams to design content that is accessible, engaging, and practical. Identify, liaise with, and engage stakeholders to ensure successful training delivery and adoption of new processes. Plan, coordinate, and schedule training sessions for both internal staff and external users where necessary, ensuring timely delivery in line with project milestones. Work across the Commission to develop and refine procedures, practices, and processes related to the program. Support collaboration between departments, leveraging internal learning and development capability. Act as the key point of contact for program training delivery. Work independently and with others to ensure the ongoing evolution of training materials and strategies. Utilise Learn Hub and Rise360 to develop, release, and manage training content, ensuring it remains up-to-date and relevant. Ensure ongoing maintenance and development of training content on these platforms. Selection Criteria Proven experience in designing user-focused training including the application of innovative media to achieve better training, ideally within government or large-scale programs. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and programs. Experience in training strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and scheduling training delivery. Experience with Learn Hub and Rise360 or similar platforms is highly desirable. Ability to develop non-technical training materials and communicate complex ideas effectively to a diverse audience. Capable of leading training initiatives with minimal supervision. Ability to guide teams, develop strategies, and align training objectives with program outcomes. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable but not essential. A working knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
