We are seeking to fill a full-time position on a 12-month maternity leave contract commencing in late January 2025. We offer a flexible work environment which will suit someone who enjoys working from home, and who has the ability to undertake domestic travel as part of this role.
The Role The Training & Career Development Coordinator is responsible for driving learning outcomes for AgCAREERSTART participants from the commencement of their placement; including onboarding, on-farm skills development, industry engagement, career development, and post program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring participants and producers can identify skills gaps and will develop supporting training plans for each individual. The role includes being able to source, develop, deliver, and/or administer a suite of training and upskilling initiatives and resources for the AgCAREERSTART program. The role will work across the team, education, and industry sectors to establish relationships and explore and pursue emerging program opportunities.
As Training and Career Development Coordinator you will drive the engagement of participants and host producers in program components by adhering to an engagement timeline and developing attractive upskill opportunities for both parties, ensuring participants effectively utilise their training bursary. The Coordinator will keep thorough records of all training and upskill activities, and maintain a thorough understanding of current available training opportunities, and will provide regular reports to the Project Manager. You will also contribute to the program goal of high welfare outcomes for all participants, and represent the program in public settings such as careers expos, agricultural field days, conferences, and webinars.
Essential Activities and Responsibilities Develop and implement individualised training plans for participants.Maintain a structured engagement timeline for participants and host producers.Research and understand the range of upskill initiatives available, including liaison with industry, RTOs, and internal stakeholders to identify appropriate learning opportunities.Coordinate and apply accredited and non-accredited training and assessment activities.Participate in the planning for and management of operational activities.Manage various administration tasks and processes in support of the team.Provide exceptional service to program clients, particularly host farmers and participants.Build and maintain productive relationships with all program stakeholders.Drive high welfare outcomes for program participants.Implement a detailed interaction schedule.Maintain consistent reporting of training activities.Track and report on training bursary usage.Contribute to the broader project activities as required.Capabilities and Attributes Relevant qualifications in project management, training and assessment, agriculture, or similar and/or experience in a similar role.Demonstrated strong project management skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders.Excellent relationship management skills and ability to communicate and liaise with young people, schools, training organisations, employment providers, industry and other agencies.Community-minded team player.Highly driven self-starter with a passion for agriculture or young people.A reliable internet connection.Flexibility to adjust rostered days to suit project needs.The ability to undertake extensive domestic travel.A home office that is within a reasonable commutable distance from a commercial airport.A background in the vocational education or training landscape, or career development profession.Demonstrated experience in the coordination, facilitation and delivery of effective learning and development or other similar programs.To Apply To be considered for this role, please upload a cover letter, outlining why you're the best person for this position, plus a copy of your CV.
