Training Advisor

Our client is seeking a fast learning and immediately Training Advisor. This is initially a 6-month assignment with the potential to extend. This business holds high value in teamwork and the expectation is that the successful candidate will be open to supporting the office with a variety of duties of all levels.

Working hours: 7/7 - Drive in Drive out
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months with potential to extend
Pay Rate: $75.00 per hour + superannuation

The Role

Support Supervisors and Superintendents to create an annual training plan that meets the requirements of the operational area of responsibility
Work collaboratively with the Crew Trainers/Assessors to ensure the delivery of quality training and assessment
Educate BP's in the utilization of NBG's TMS to enable them to meet contractual and site specific requirements
Undertake audits of BP's to ensure they meet contractual and NBG specific requirements
Develop and review training and assessment resources
Conduct assessments for Newmont employees and business partners
Deliver training to Newmont employees and business partners
Maintain industry competency and currency whilst diversifying skills and knowledge
Remain current in Vocational Education and Training skills and knowledge
Ensure the effective management and utilisation of the field trainers, resources and other training assets
Maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System by complying with its requirements
Contribute to the effectiveness of the training function by contribution to continuous improvement activities
Contribute to the annual review of mandatory competencies assigned to positions of employment (roles) within operational area of responsibility
Contribute to the annual Gnaala and Apprentice programs


Experience Required

Cert IV Training and Assessment TAE40116 or TAE40122 or above
Work experience relevant to the Department the Advisor will be assigned to
Drivers Licence - Manual
Experience in similar role
Good interpersonal skills, together with the ability to effectively prioritise workload
Demonstrated facilitation skills in both classroom and field environment
Sound communication skills, both oral and written
Proficient computer skills
Work Health and Safety qualifications (desirable)
Training package development (desirable)
HRWL LF, CN, EWP, DG, RI (desirable)
