Health Science Hub (RTO 52806) is looking for new team members who are interested in working in the Vocational Education & Training (VET) sector.
We can only consider applicants with:
A completed Certificate III or IV in Community Services with 2 years of work experience, or A completed Undergraduate degree in Psychology or Social Work or similar with 1 year work experience. We are looking for people who want to start or continue their career in education. The role will involve training a class of secondary school students (Year 11 & 12) in the Certificate III in Community Services (CHC32015). The right candidate must be able to work with this age group.
We are looking for additional trainers for our Perth Campus during school terms 1, 2 & 3 for 1 to 2 days per week (Thursdays and/or Fridays).
An advantage would be for you to already hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessing (TAE40122); however, we would be willing to train the right person to attain this qualification over time. Professional development and on-the-job training & mentoring are provided for successful candidates who are new to VET but have industry experience and skills.
The right candidate will have the following:
Be comfortable in front of students and display the confidence to explain and deliver the required content. Ability to run practical activities that engage students in the qualification content. Ability to understand the qualification assessments to ensure assessments can be explained accurately, linked to the content, and guidance can be provided. Be interested and able to work with Year 11 & 12 high school students. Have the ability to use technology in the classroom, including a learning management system, tablets, and apps, and be willing to learn new skills. Work within a team as well as autonomously. Manage change and contribute to continuous improvement. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $31.00 – $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 – 14 per week
