We are seeking a dedicated Foundation Skills Trainer to deliver a qualification designed to develop essential skills for individuals preparing for employment or vocational pathways.
Tasks include....
This role will require you to: • Deliver training in foundation skills, including literacy, numeracy, communication, and digital literacy • Provide tailored support to students to help them develop a clear vocational training and employment plan • Create a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance • Support students in preparing for workforce entry or further vocational training opportunities Skills and Experience required.... To be successful in this role you will have the following: • TAE40122 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 including TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 • or have completed one of the following (or equivalent): TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set, or A higher-level education qualification, such as: TAE80113 Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice (and its equivalent TAE70111) Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education, or higher (including qualifications in TESOL, adult education, or vocational education) • Demonstrated expertise in delivery and assessment of foundation skills, using the ACSF or equivalent • Digital literacy skills and the capacity to train others in this area.
• Be a driven, supportive and community minded person, working with disadvantaged learners and non-English speakers to support them in building future opportunities for themselves through learning • Be able to motivate and upskill participants to improve their LLN skills to complete education and gain employment • Strong knowledge of the VET sector and the National Standards for RTOs (2015) • Current Drivers' License and ability to travel across your region • Current Working with Children Check • National Police Check and Right to work Check What we offer….
