About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Trainer and Assessor in Civil Construction Design to join the Faculty of Business and Technology.
The tasks include but are not limited to: Set up and/or run units of competency (UoC) in the learning management system for students/staff members in accordance with policy and procedure (i.e., protocol) Assist in the development, implementation, update and modification of TAS.
Assist in the development of online learning platform (e-learning platform) (e.g., casting videos, preparing scripts, developing training materials) Obtain/maintain the currency of vocational competencies and industry experience Create and maintain own HR matrix, PD plan and PD logbook in accordance with the college policies and procedures
Qualification, Experience and Skills Required:
Qualification in Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design or higher AUTOCAD certification and work experience Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (required prior to commencement);TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and one of the following units of competency;
TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A (or their successor), and one of the following units of competency, TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A orTAEASS502B (or their successor); or
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor, or Higher.
Ability to resolve and manage student complaints and students matters Competent knowledge of ASQA compliance and other applicable standards and legislation.
Ability to work at a wide range of stakeholders, particularly with those from various and diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated skills in the delivery and assessment of regulatory and competency-based training.
Very strong communicator who effectively inspires participation and conveys information effectively to gain commitment from others.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders and communicates, influences and negotiates outcomes.
Strong written communication skills to a high standard in order to prepare documentation and work with areas of the business responsible for implementation.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
Resourceful team player with the ability to establish and maintain trusting, cooperative and productive working relationships with team members and customers.
Sound skills in computer operations and business systems relevant to the role and comply e-learning methodologies.
Registration/Membership/licensing with regulatory facilities based on the qualification delivered.
Outstanding skills on both oral and written communications.
Advanced to proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Ability to meet conflicting priorities and to multi-task.
Ability to effectively work within a diverse and multicultural environment.
Strong grasp of diversity management, particularly in interactions with students and staff from a wide array of cultures and backgrounds.
An understanding of the standards for RTOs, including ESOS regulations framework for VET Providers and RTO regulation and relevant policies will be an advantage.
WWCC and police check may be required.
