Seeking a passionate Unaccredited Trainee in Anaesthetics ready to be hands-on in a rural location! Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is seeking 1FTE experienced and enthusiastic Unaccredited Trainee to join our Anaesthetics Department in 2024.

What you'll be doing: The primary purpose of the Unaccredited Trainee (UT) in Anaesthetics role is to provide clinical care, under appropriate supervision, to patients requiring anaesthetic services in a complex clinical environment. This position will provide experience in elective and emergency anaesthetics and have responsibilities and opportunities for autonomous practice commensurate with the level of experience of the incumbent.
The role provides the UT the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience in Anaesthesia, Pain Medicine, Perioperative Medicine and Critical Care to prepare them to make a competitive application into the ANZCA training program.
Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.Demonstrated competence and interest in anaesthetics and critical care medicine.Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with an understanding of the roles of the doctor and other members of the healthcare team.Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, family members and others members of the health care team.Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self-education including completion of relevant courses such as ALS, BASIC, EMST, APLS or similar.Need more information?1) Click here for the Position Description2) Find out more about applying for this positionFor role related queries or questions contact Elizabeth Bourke on ******
