The Trainee Help Desk Officer will assist with basic IT support tasks, gaining experience and practical knowledge in resolving common technical issues. Addressing level 1 issues, while gaining knowledge across network needs. The position will also involve attending courses, lectures, and training to achieve a recognised certificate, which the organisation will support throughout the traineeship.
Other key duties include but are not limited to: Assist in responding to basic IT support requests from end-users, providing help with password resets, software setup, basic troubleshooting etc. Learn to diagnose and resolve simple hardware, software, and network issues under supervision, gradually building your technical skills. Support the team in managing user accounts and permissions within Microsoft 365, such as email, SharePoint, and Teams, under the guidance of the System Administrator. Attend all required training sessions, lectures, and courses to work towards a certificate in Information Technology or a related field, with the organization's support. Help maintain accurate records of IT requests, issues resolved, and troubleshooting steps in a knowledge base for future reference. Provide training to end-users as required, helping individuals, teams, and the organization grown in their technical knowledge. Build strong communication skills by interacting with end-users, providing clear and simple instructions under the guidance of senior staff.About You: Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for helping others?
