Committed to excellence throughout its highly rated golf course, state of the art practice facilities and expansive clubhouse and surrounds, we have an exciting opportunity available for an individual with an interest in horticulture/sports turf management to being their turf management journey as a Trainee Greenkeeper.
Reporting to the Course Superintendent, the successful candidate will participate as an active and enthusiastic member of the Turf Maintenance team, assisting with daily course maintenance and set-up using a wide range of plant and equipment, utilising skills and knowledge as developed through formal and workplace training at what is acknowledged as one of the best presented courses in the country.
Responsibilities of the position include: Participating individually or as part of a team in maintenance of turf, vegetation and garden areasAttending structured training classes along with learning on the job through workplace training Assisting with course construction, including irrigation and drainage installation and turf establishment What the Club needs from you: A commitment to completing Certificate III in Horticulture – Sports Turf ManagementTo be a self-motivated, proactive and supportive contributor in a team environmentBe physically fit to undertake all dutiesA current C class drivers license Willingness to maintain compliance with work health safety and environmental regulationsA genuine interest in golf and working outdoors in a physical environmentThis is a full time, 38 hour per week position, with early morning starts and regular rostered weekend work. Advanced notice, paid weekday overtime work may also be required.
