Job Number: 240001CI)Description RACQ is committed to ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our road networks. As a trusted partner in traffic and incident management, we work closely with stakeholders to minimize disruptions, improve safety, and keep traffic moving efficiently.
We are seeking Traffic Response Officers to join our team. In this role, you will provide safe and effective traffic and incident management solutions to our stakeholders around road traffic incidents. You will patrol major network routes for incidents and hazards, rapidly respond to and clear traffic incidents, reduce the potential or risk of secondary incidents, provide safe diversions, minimize traffic delays and congestion, and provide continuous two-way radio communication with traffic management centers.
About you License and Qualifications: Hold an MR License or above and possess a General Induction White Card.Technical Skills: Able to use smart phones, tablets, and computer systems.Impeccable Driving History: Maintain a clean driving record over the past 5 years.Opportunities for Growth: Military or emergency service experience is advantageous, and we offer opportunities for career advancement within RACQ.Communication and Conflict Management: Excellent communication skills and ability to manage conflict situations effectively.Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in dynamic roadside situations.Pre-Employment Requirements: Willing to undergo pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening, and criminal record checks.Availability: to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, night work, and work across various locations.Why join RACQ?
