About the Role *This is an Ongoing Position* The Traffic Management Planner is responsible for providing expert traffic management support to ensure successful project delivery. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, Metro, and working closely with various team leaders and advisers, the planner's key responsibilities include:
Offering traffic advice and services for new and existing roadside projects. Designing and maintaining traffic control schemes and management plans. Ensuring compliance with legislation, company policies, and standards. Implementing risk assessments and document controls. The role involves providing technical expertise to enhance road safety and efficiency and collaborating with teams within DTP, other government organizations, and the traffic management industry.

Preparing traffic management plans and guidance schemes according to legislation, company policies, and standards. Planning, organising, and managing permit applications to meet deadlines. Using analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks. Creating plans to enhance traffic flow, minimize disruption, and protect road users. Monitoring and maintaining accurate records for submissions and renewals. Managing the performance of traffic management contractors and promoting continuous improvement. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement plans. Supporting safe, inclusive, and flexible team operations. Qualifications and Experience Mandatory • Certification for RIICWD503E
• At least two years' proven experience preparing traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes (or similar relevant experience)
• Proficient use of traffic planning software e.g., Rapid Plan (Invarion), AutoCAD
Desirable • Experience in the application of traffic management planning for road maintenance activities.
• Signif
