About the role The successful candidate will be responsible for aiding and planning, implementation and monitoring of traffic management, contracts and job sites within their scope. This will include liaising with clients, customers, road authorities, local councils and other stakeholders whilst ensuring works comply with industry and company standards.
The operations co-ordinator will be able to establish the requirements for each job, including the checking, and managing of Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS). They will be responsible for the submission of applications and managing the process for obtaining permits from all government authorities.
They will be able to oversee the daily traffic control requirements, including field staff, sub-contractors, asset resources, and other services as required.
They will be expected to conduct and control on-site inspections, and on-site internal audits to ensure that Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards are met.
They will be available to attend client meetings for planning works, and site visits to verify details with the location and the client.
The successful candidate will be able to successfully work alongside and assist other members of the team, and have the ability to develop strong internal and external client relationships. They will have clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, a "can do" attitude, excellent problem solving skills, be able to think laterally, and have a friendly demeanor.
What we're looking for in you The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in Traffic Control. Proven operations management experience in the Traffic Management industry would be advantageous.

White/Red Card - Construction Induction Card
First Aid & CPR
Drivers licence - manual preferred
Competencies Knowledge and understanding of industry awards, code of practice, and relevant standards
Understanding of End to End project management
Understanding of QSE Management - quality, safety, and environmental systems
Knowledge and understanding of TMP's and TGS's as well as hazard identification and risk assessment
Be self-motivated and able to work without direction or micro management
Have proven experience in task management and be able to work within strict deadlines, delivered with accuracy and attention to detail.
