The role
As a Junior OTC Trader, you will play a key role in executing and managing trades in the OTC market, working closely with senior traders and the trading desk. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about the crypto space, eager to learn, and ready to develop their skills in a high-energy trading environment. As our operation runs 24/6, some evening shifts from 4 PM to 12 AM will be required to support coverage across the team.
This role is based in Sydney.
Responsibilities
Execute OTC trades across a range of cryptocurrencies, ensuring all transactions are executed promptly and accurately.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by handling trade enquiries, providing exceptional customer service, and sending daily updates and pricing information.
Monitor and assess market trends, order books, and liquidity, to identify trading opportunities and manage risks effectively.
Collaborate with the settlements team to ensure accurate trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting
Contribute to market research and analysis, preparing daily and weekly trading reports for both internal and client use.
Support projects aimed at enhancing OTC trading processes and automation.
Experience we're looking for
1+ years experience in a finance firm, bank, trading environment or equivalent, or an ability to demonstrate a passion for trading and financial markets.
We will also consider exceptional graduates with no work experience.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Excel and experience with trading platforms.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Keen interest in cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology.
