About the role: A fantastic opportunity awaits for a Secondary teacher to join a community-oriented school within the Eastern suburbs of Sydney. We are seeking an innovative and inspiring educator with experience in teaching Stage 4-6 students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating inclusive learning environments, ensuring that all students, including those with physical, psychological, behavioural, sensory, and intellectual disabilities, as well as students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and specific learning difficulties, are fully supported. Your role will involve designing and delivering a challenging and accessible curriculum that engages every student, fostering their growth and success. Key Duties: Developing personalised plans to accommodate students with disabilities including alternative assessment tools and settings Curriculum adjustments, instructional adaptations, appropriate technology and equipment, and environmental modifications Teaching arrangements and behaviour management programs in accordance with relevant legislation Engage with students and parents/guardians in collaborative planning processes Skills & Experience: Secondary teaching qualification A degree in Special Education A strong passion to empower and motivate students Stage 4-6 experience Hold a valid and up to date NESA registration Hold a valid Working with Children Check Have unrestricted working rights in Australia Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references Offering: Learning Support Teacher Stages 4-6 Term 1, 2025 start Full time, temporary (Term 1-3) Ongoing support provided $81,800-$122,500 + Super (based off experience) The school: Salary above the Multi Enterprise Agreement level Convenient location in Sydney's East Continuous professional development to support your teaching career Well-equipped classrooms that provide a dynamic environment for interactive learning How to apply:
