Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Tradesman Carpenter to join Big Fig Tiny Homes as we grow in 2025.
This role will involve working on custom-built tiny homes and prefabricated homes, ensuring high-quality construction and finishes.
You will collaborate closely with workshop management, other trades, and our design team to help bring our unique builds to life.
Key Responsibilities: Construct and install structural components like steel or timber wall frames, floors, and roofs for tiny and prefabricated homesInstall custom cabinetry, trims, and finishing carpentry elementsInstall an array of different external cladding systemsWork alongside electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure smooth project coordinationRead and interpret blueprints and engineering plans with precisionEnsure all work complies with Australian building standards and meets engineering requirementsMaintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocolsProvide input on construction methods and materials to improve overall build qualityRequirements: Proven experience as a tradesman carpenter, ideally in custom builds or prefabricated homesStrong understanding of carpentry techniques, building codes, and construction methodsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering plans accuratelyHigh attention to detail and commitment to producing top-quality workAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative teamStrong communication and problem-solving skillsA commitment to safety and adhering to workplace regulationsStrong work ethicDriver's license & vehicleTools of the tradeQualifications: Relevant trade certification in carpentryMinimum of 3 years of experience as a tradesman carpenterKnowledge of Australian building standards and compliance regulationsWhat We Offer: Competitive salary based on experienceThe opportunity to grow with a small, family-owned businessA supportive and close-knit working environmentA chance to work on innovative tiny home and prefabricated housing projectsOpportunities for professional growth as the company expandsTo Apply:
