Hix Group is looking for a skilled technician to transition from a tools-based role to an office-based position. This role involves utilizing your technical expertise to support our office operations, including processing invoicing, client communication, and technical documentation.
You will be required to interpret the field notes of the technicians, apply material and labor costs, prepare invoices, correlate any other required attachments, and send them to the client either by email or through different portals.
This job is ideal for someone wanting to slow down from working in the field (perhaps nearing the end of a career as a tradesperson or due to a disability or injury) or someone looking for a change of environment while still using their trades knowledge. It could also cater to someone requiring flexible working hours or hybrid arrangements.
What skills do you need?Trades-based experience in Electrical - either as a tradesperson or in a similar capacity with some office experience.Strong computer skills and ideally some exposure to Job Management Systems (simPRO would be ideal).Great spelling and grammar to ensure we present professional documents to our clients.Attention to detail to accurately enter Work Requests and fulfill the needs of client portals.Ability to prepare/review invoices based on technician data to meet client and contract requirements.We are a local Penrith business with a great team.We value our team members and have a great culture.We can be flexible with working hours.Hix Group is an equal opportunity employer.
